Clerk's Ultimatum
All my life I've loved the wait for Christmas. Buying the gifts, picking out the gifts that I want. But because of the simple fact that I am now apart of this season...I hate it with a passion. 2002-12-15 : 1:07 a.m. I hate the customers who are impatient with me because they planned poorly. I hate the kids who are screaming because they're tired of being in the mall. I hate the long lines to the back because that means at least two of us behind the counter to get rid of the line and nearly half of the line is pissed off. I hate the promotional hipe. I hate the tv shows that have to be P.C. and talk about how this is only a season of giving. I hate the stress. I hate listening to the music everyday. If I were to rule the world or if I were allowed to make one rule, it would be that everyone has to start their shopping early, leave all children under 7 at home (they can be baby-sat by the annoying middle schoolers who haunt the mall pretending they're in high school), ban Christmas music, and three days before and after Christmas all gift stores will have a do it yourself checkout line. This line will come equipped with the register and the items already in a box so the people only have to take up a tag and not bother the sales people to get it out of the cabinet. Anyone who cannot proove themselves to be socially adept and cannot keep the appearance of non-stress will be confined to their houses until after New Year's, only to be let out for religious obligations and if their bathrooms die. And all hyper-active children will be given sedatives twice a day. Scratch that, make that all children who are not my younger brother and his friends Alex and George. This has been an announcment from your local clerking system. Thank You. P.S. We're going to see Beauty and the Beast live on stage tomorrow!!!!!!! P.P.S. I still haven't finished my final project :( P.P.P.S. And I don't have any days completely free this whole week :( :(
