Well, first of all, I've been painting up a storm. Secondly, there's been work. And lastly I haven't been able to get onto d*land at night.

The following was written last Sat. while I was waiting to see the Savoyards production of Patience. It's not complete yet and is highly influenced by Terry Prachett.

Whether at a play, the movies or a concert there is always someone just this side of too tall sitting in the center of your line of vision. They will be any combination of:

~tall and bald

~tall and big-headed

~tall and talkative

~tall with big hair*

~tall and immovable

There is also the group right behind you who has brought in their own consession stand and is currently eating all of it, food, stand and all. With their mouths open and much rattling of bags.

If you are not blessed to be sitting in-between the friends you came with, next to you will be sitting all or some of the following:

1. Someone with a sharp elbow who takes the arm rest

2. Someone smelly

3. A couple necking

4. A child asking for a narrative about what's going on

5. A child giving a commentary about what's going on

*Big hair is the mode now, because big hats were banned by the SATBHBBHTIAS**

**Society Against Tall, Big-Headed, Balding, Big Hatted, Talkative, Immovable Audience Sitters

And that's the end of it...so far...

"'Why, you have nearly finished it, Mr. Frodo!' Sam exclaimed. ... 'I have quite finished, Sam,' said Frodo. 'The last pages are for you.'"
